Using it

  1. Start with clean, dry paint that has already been polished to the finish you want.
  2. Centre the pad on a dual action polisher backing plate that suits a 5.5in pad.
  3. Apply a few small dots of wax, sealant or glaze to the pad face.
  4. Spread the product at a low speed with light pressure in slow, overlapping passes.
  5. Leave the product to cure as its maker directs, then buff off with a clean microfibre towel.

Cleaning and storage

  1. Brush the pad face between panels so product does not build up in the grooves.
  2. Wash the pad in warm water with a dedicated pad cleaner after each session.
  3. Rinse until the water runs clear and press the water out without wringing the foam.
  4. Dry it face down, away from radiators and direct sunlight.
  5. Store it in a clean sealed bag, apart from cutting and polishing pads.
