Everything here is equipment rather than chemicals: the machines, cloths, brushes and bottles you detail a car with, and the storage to keep them in. It runs from Active pressure washers, Aquaspray water filters and the BLO AIR-GT car dryer to FibreKing and Mammoth microfibres, boar's hair brush sets and CarPro dilution bottles.

How to choose

• Pressure Washing & Water Systems: pressure washers, trigger guns, hoses, fittings and water filters for a spot-free rinse.
• Washing, Drying & Microfibres: buckets and grit guards, wash mitts, drying towels, car dryers, and cloths for buffing, glass and the interior.
• Brushes & Applicators: wheel, tyre, detailing and interior brushes, and the pads that apply polish, wax and dressing.
• Bottles, Sprayers & Chemical Handling: empty bottles, triggers, pump sprayers, foamers and measuring cups for diluting concentrates.
• Workshop, Machines & Storage: polishers and sanders, inspection lights, detailing bags, wall storage, stools and trolleys.

Good to know

• Keep wheel brushes and mitts apart from the ones that touch paint: brake dust and grit carry over and scratch.
• Wash microfibres on their own, with one of the Microfibre Washes rather than fabric softener, which clogs the fibres.

What equipment do I need for car detailing?

For a safe wash: two buckets with grit guards, a wash mitt, separate wheel brushes and a mitt, a drying towel and microfibre cloths. A pressure washer with a snow foam lance speeds up the pre-wash, and a polisher, pads and an inspection light come in once you move on to paint correction.
