About the range
Pet Hair Removal
Dog and cat hair works its way into carpet and cloth seats, and a vacuum alone leaves much of it behind. These tools grip the embedded hair and roll it into clumps you can pick up or vacuum away. The range has our own Drivers HQ remover blocks in orange, green and blue, and pet hair tools from Maxshine, KDN Detailing, Mammoth Microfibre and Duel Autocare.
How to choose
Choose by the area. A block fills the hand and clears big areas such as the boot floor and seat bases quickly. The Maxshine Carpet Triangle Tool has corners for footwell edges and the seam between seat base and backrest.
Good to know
- Work in short strokes in one direction to gather the hair into clumps, then pick them up with a vacuum from Vacuums and Hoovers.
- Floor and boot carpet can take firm strokes; use a lighter touch on seat cloth. On soft velour or looped carpet, try a hidden patch first, as a firm tool can pull or fluff up the pile. Keep them off headlinings, leather and Alcantara.
How do I get stubborn dog hair out of my car?
Loosen it before you vacuum. Work a pet hair block or tool over the carpet in short strokes in one direction, so it grips the embedded hair and rolls it into clumps, then pick the clumps up with the vacuum. A vacuum on its own leaves much of it behind.
