• Polishers & Sanders: a dual action is the safe place to start, a rotary cuts faster but needs experience, a cordless machine has no cable to drag across the paint, and mini polishers reach pillars, bumpers and small panels.
• Vacuums and Hoovers for everyday interior cleaning, and Extractors & Steam Cleaners for ground-in dirt and stains in seats and carpets.
• Detailing Bags & Tool Storage to carry kit to the car, and Wall Storage & Hose Mounts for bottle, polisher and hose holders on the garage wall.

Good to know

• Check the voltage before buying a vacuum: the 110V Kiam SiteVacs need a site transformer, so for a household socket pick a 240V model.
• Polishing pads are sized to the backing plate, so check the plate on your machine before buying Polishing Pads.

How should I store detailing products in a garage?

Keep chemicals upright on a shelf or in wall holders, out of direct sun and frost, with caps closed and labels facing out. Hang polishers and brushes on wall holders so pads and bristles stay off the floor, and keep clean microfibres in a closed box away from dust. Our home detailing kit guide lists the kit.
