Brush Sets

A brush set puts several detailing brushes, usually of different sizes, in one pack: small ones for badges and lettering, bigger ones for grilles and wheel faces. The range includes five-brush sets from Alchemy, Angelwax and SGCB, Alchemy's GLO and MultiBrush Pro sets, 2-packs from Duel and Mothers, and a three-piece drill brush set from KDN.

How to choose

• Soft or stiff: soft brushes, such as boar hair or the Mammoth Big / Little Softie, are for paint, badges and gloss trim; stiff brushes like the Duel Stiff 2-pack are for tyres, textured plastics and engine bays.
• How many sizes: a five-brush set covers everything from emblems to grilles; a 2-pack tops up what you already have.

Good to know

Keep one set for wheels and another for paint and trim: brake dust caught in the bristles will scratch paint. Two sets in different colours, such as the Alchemy GLO in blue and green, are easy to keep apart.
