We email you, then you start your £9.99 monthly membership from this page while signed in. Your 10% comes off at checkout from then on. Your Find a Detailer profile is subject to the directory rules and completion of the required business information.
The 12-month minimum term
Trade Membership is paid monthly at £9.99, but the monthly payment arrangement does not make it a cancel-anytime service. The minimum term is 12 months. After that it carries on month by month until you cancel. Please only apply once you understand and accept the full commitment, the cancellation, failed-payment and termination rules are set out in the Trade Membership terms.

The Evidence We Ask For
We ask for two approved forms of business evidence. This helps confirm that Trade benefits are provided to genuine eligible automotive businesses, helps reduce duplicate accounts and private customers applying for business discounts, and helps TDHQ create an accurate public directory listing.
Only provide the information requested, and remove unrelated sensitive information where appropriate.

Trade Membership or HQ Rewards?
Two separate schemes. Joining HQ Rewards is free. Trade Membership is a paid membership for eligible professional automotive businesses.

How much does Trade Membership cost?
£9.99 per month, with a minimum term of 12 months. The monthly fee is separate from any product order and is not account credit or prepaid product spend.
How much discount will I actually receive?
10% off every product except sale items and gift cards. It is taken off automatically at checkout while you are signed in to the account your membership is on.
Does the discount apply to sale items?
No. Trade discounts do not apply to sale items. Trade pricing should not be assumed to combine with another discount code, automatic promotion, sale price, bundle or HQ Rewards redemption.
Can a private enthusiast apply?
No, it is for genuine automotive businesses. Applicants must evidence an active business operating as a detailer, valeter, PPF installer or car wash. Private customers can still access normal retail pricing, HQ Rewards, product advice and public promotions where available.
What evidence do I need to provide?
Two approved forms of business evidence. Suitable evidence includes an active business website, an active business social-media page, business bank documentation, public liability insurance, business registration information, a supplier invoice, business premises evidence, a branded business vehicle or a professional booking page.
How long does verification take?
Applications are reviewed as quickly as possible, but no fixed approval time is guaranteed. It depends on whether the evidence is complete, whether the business details match, whether further checks are needed and application volumes. You only start paying once your application is approved. Please check your spam and junk folders in case we have asked you for more information.
Do Trade purchases earn HQ Rewards points?
Yes. Trade Members earn HQ Rewards points on their orders as normal: 1 point for every £1 of eligible spend.
Sale items do not earn points, for any customer.
The points shown in your HQ Rewards area remain the source of truth.
Does Trade Membership make me a TDHQ Recognised Detailer?
No. Recognised Detailer is a separate programme with its own criteria. Trade Membership does not grant that status.
Does membership include credit terms?
No. TDHQ Trade Membership does not automatically include a credit account or delayed-payment terms. Orders must be paid using the payment methods available at checkout unless a separate written credit arrangement has been approved.
Can more than one person use the same Trade account?
A Trade Membership is connected to the approved business and customer account. Business staff may only use the membership where the Trade terms and account setup allow it. Do not share secure Shopify verification codes. Contact us where a business requires access for more than one authorised person.
Why is my Trade discount not showing?
Check that you are signed in to the account your membership is on, that your membership payments are up to date, and that the products are not on sale. The 10% is taken off at checkout, not on the product page. If it still does not appear, contact us with the product and your account email.
How do I start my membership once I am approved?
We email you when your application is approved. Sign in to the account with the same email address, come back to this page and press Start my membership. You pay the first £9.99 at checkout, then the same amount each month.
How do I cancel my Trade Membership?
Once your 12 monthly payments have been made, you can cancel from Manage Trade Membership in your account, or contact us. Until then the membership cannot be cancelled online. When it is cancelled, the 10% Trade discount stops and no further payments are taken.
