About the range
One-Step Pads
One-step pads are made to correct and finish in a single machine stage: enough cut to take out most light swirls and wash marring, and a finish good enough to protect straight away. The range is two Lake Country microfibre pads: the One Step Light Cut Microfibre Pad and the HDO One Step Pad.
How to choose
- Machine: the HDO pad is built for long-throw DA polishers; for a standard DA, choose the Light Cut pad.
- Polish: pair the pad with one of our One Step Polishes when a wax, sealant or coating goes on afterwards, or with one of our All-in-One Polishes to leave protection on the paint in the same pass.
Good to know
- One stage suits a daily driver with light to moderate swirls. Deeper scratches need a compound stage first, on Heavy Cut Foam Pads or Microfibre Pads.
- An all-in-one leaves a protective layer that can stop a ceramic coating bonding, so before a coating use a one step polish, then wipe down with Panel Wipe & IPA.
