About the range
Glass Sealants
Glass sealants make rain bead on the glass and blow off as you drive, so you see more and need the wipers less. The range covers wipe-on rain repellents such as Invisible Glass Rain Repellent, glass cleaners that leave a repellent layer behind, and interior anti-fog treatments.
How to choose
- A dedicated repellent such as Invisible Glass Rain Repellent goes on clean, dry glass and lasts longer than the light layer a repellent cleaner leaves, and Glass Coatings cure onto the glass and last longer still.
- Clean-and-repel sprays such as Stoner Invisible Glass Clean & Repel, CarPro Clarify Phobic and NowRevive Hydrophobic Glass Cleaner clean and top up in one wipe.
- For misting, CarPro Fog Fight goes on the inside of the glass.
Good to know
- Anything left on the glass gets sealed in and smears in the rain. Remove water spots and old film first with Glass Polishes.
- If the wipers judder afterwards, buff off leftover residue with a dry microfibre. Worn blades cause the same judder.
- Do the side windows and door mirrors too: they have no wipers, so that is where a repellent helps most.
What is the best sealant for car windows?
It depends how long you want it to last. A wipe-on repellent such as Invisible Glass Rain Repellent lasts longer than the light layer a clean-and-repel spray leaves, and glass coatings last longer still. Whichever you choose, it goes on clean, dry glass.
