Insect & Bug Removers

How to choose

• Bugs only or bugs and grime: a dedicated insect remover is for the front end. Bug and grime formulas also work as a pre-wash on road grime: see Citrus Pre-Wash.
• Bird mess: droppings can etch the clear coat if they are left on, so pick a remover made for bird mess too.

Good to know

• Let it dwell for the time on the label, but never let it dry on paint, glass or trim.
• Fresh bugs come off far more easily than baked-on ones, and a coat of wax or sealant from Paint Protection & Finish makes the next lot easier to shift.

How can I remove insects from my car?

Spray an insect remover onto the splatter and give the splatter time to soften, then wipe or rinse it away. Scrubbing drags the hard remains across the paint. The sooner you do it after a drive, the easier they come off.
