Better Ripper is the Better Car Care citrus pre-wash: a non-caustic concentrate made with surface active agents, water soluble solvents, soil suspending agents and citrus oils. Sprayed on before the wash, it loosens general road dirt, bird droppings and insect residue so most of it rinses away before a mitt ever touches the paint, which lowers the risk of swirl marks.

Better Ripper is the citrus pre-wash in the Better Car Care range and the first thing to reach for on a dirty car. It is a non-caustic concentrate with citrus oils, solvents and surfactants, diluted up to 1:10 in a low pressure pump sprayer. Spray the grubby areas, give it a few minutes to loosen road dirt, bird droppings and bugs, then rinse with a pressure washer before foaming or washing. Less grit left on the paint means less risk of swirl marks. It is alkaline as supplied, about pH 13, and about pH 8 to 9 at a 5% mix, so keep it diluted and never let it dry. It also doubles as an interior pre-spray for carpets and door panels.
Caution: It is alkaline as supplied, so always dilute it, never let it dry on the car, and test interior fabrics first.
Top Tip: Use it before Better Thickness snow foam on a very dirty winter car to get the most dirt off before the mitt.
