About the range

Microfibre Cloths

Every microfibre cloth and towel for wiping, buffing and glass is here: general purpose cloths, plush buffing and finishing towels, glass cloths and polishing towels. The range runs from single 40x40cm cloths by Mammoth, NowRevive and Menzerna to the FibreKing Gold Label (400GSM) and Silver Label (315GSM) 36 packs, Duel General Purpose 10 packs, the SGCB 36-piece trade pack and the Maxshine tear-away roll.

How to choose

  • Weight (GSM): 300 to 350, like the NowRevive and Edgeless Grey cloths, is a good all-rounder; plusher cloths hold more residue before smearing and are gentler on paint.
  • Edge: edgeless cloths have no stitched hem to drag across the paint, so keep them for paintwork and use multi-pack cloths or the tear-away roll for wheels, shuts and engine bays.
  • Colour: the Mammoth All-rounder comes in blue, green, white and yellow, so each colour can have one job and paint cloths stay apart from dirty ones.
  • Job: Buffing & Finishing Towels are the plushest, for taking off wax, sealant and polish residue; Glass & Interior Cloths are low pile or waffle weave so glass stays streak free; Polishing Microfibres wipe off compound after machine polishing. Drying a whole car is a job for Drying Towels.

Good to know

  • The Gyeon Q2M Suede cloths are coating applicators, wrapped round a block to spread a coating, not cloths for wiping.
  • Wash microfibre on its own with a product from Microfibre Washes and no fabric softener, which clogs the fibres. A dropped cloth stays on dirty jobs from then on.
