Spot & Stain Removers

Spot and stain removers are for the single mark you want gone without cleaning the whole seat: spilt coffee, food, make-up, or mud trodden into the carpet. The range includes Chemical Guys Lightning Fast Stain Extractor for Fabric.

How to choose

• One mark on otherwise clean fabric: a stain remover, worked in and blotted out.
• A whole seat or mat that looks grubby: a cleaner from Carpet & Fabric Cleaners, or Fabric Shampoo if you use an extraction machine.
• Alcantara and suede-effect trim: use Alcantara Cleaners, which are made for that material.

Good to know

• Work from the edge of the mark inwards, agitate gently with a soft brush from Carpet & Fabric Brushes and blot with a clean microfibre. Hard rubbing spreads the stain and roughs up the fibres.
• Treat it early and use a little product at a time: a fresh spill lifts far more easily, and soaking the spot can leave a ring. If one appears, clean the whole panel out to its seams.
• Test on a hidden area first for colour fastness.
