Information We Collect

We collect information you give us, information created when you use our website or shop with us, and information from the services that help us run the shop.

Contact and account details: your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, and your account login.
Order details: the products you buy, prices, delivery or collection choice, order history and any notes you add.
Payment details: payments are processed by our payment providers. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the card type and last four digits, never your full card number.
Messages: what you send us by email, through our contact forms, by telephone or on WhatsApp, including any photographs.
Reviews: the review, rating, photos, video and display name you submit, and the email address you use to submit it.
HQ Rewards: your points balance, how you earned and used points, and your birthday if you choose to add it.
Trade Membership: business details and the business evidence you provide when you apply.
Stock alerts: your email address and the product you asked to be told about when it is back in stock.
Marketing choices: whether you have agreed to receive our emails or text messages.
Device and usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the items in your basket, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How We Use Your Information

We only use your information where the law allows us to:

To take, process, deliver and support your orders, including Click & Collect, returns and refunds. We need this to perform our contract with you.
To run your customer account, HQ Rewards and Trade Membership, as part of the service you have asked for.
To answer your questions and give product advice.
To send you marketing emails or text messages, only where you have agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email or by contacting us.
To send you a stock alert you have asked for.
To publish reviews you submit.
To keep our website secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and improve our website and range. These are our legitimate interests.
To keep financial and tax records and meet our other legal obligations.

Who We Share It With

We share only what each service needs to do its job, and we do not sell your personal information.

Shopify, which hosts our website, checkout and customer accounts and processes card payments.
The payment provider you choose at checkout, such as PayPal, Klarna or Clearpay.
Royal Mail, to deliver your parcel.
Partner brands that send some products directly to you through Shopify Collective, so they can deliver those items.
Omnisend, which sends our emails, text messages and back in stock alerts.
Judge.me, which collects and displays product reviews.
Joy, which runs HQ Rewards.
Meta, if you choose to message us on WhatsApp.
Our professional advisers, and the police, HMRC or other authorities where the law requires it.

Some of these providers process information outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or by approved contract terms.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use cookies that are needed for the website to work, such as those that keep items in your basket, keep you signed in and keep checkout secure.

Our website platform and the services listed above also use cookies and similar technologies to measure how the website is used and to provide their features, such as reviews, HQ Rewards and stock alerts.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the website, such as the basket and checkout, will not work.

How Long We Keep It

We keep order and payment records for six years, as UK tax law requires.

We keep your account and HQ Rewards details while your account is open. If you ask us to close your account, we delete or anonymise these details unless we must keep them for a legal reason.

We keep marketing consent records until you unsubscribe, and for as long afterwards as we need to show that we respect your choice.

We keep messages and Trade Membership applications for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or membership.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
ask us to delete your information;
ask us to limit how we use your information;
object to how we use your information, including for marketing;
ask for your information in a format you can take to another provider;
withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

Security

Our website and checkout use secure encrypted connections. Access to customer information is limited to the people and services that need it.

Children

Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
