Mini & Nano Polishers

Mini and nano polishers reach the parts of a car a full-size machine cannot: A-pillars, mirror caps, bumper recesses, badges and the edges around lamps. The range runs from dual action minis such as the 3 inch ShineMate EX603 and the Vertool 12e to nano kits from DAS-6, Vertool and KDN Detailing, plus the Rupes HLR75 BigFoot iBrid Mini and Maxshine's cordless minis.

How to choose

• Mini or nano: a mini, usually 3 inch, works pillars, mirrors and bumper sections; a nano takes 1 to 2 inch plates for badges, grilles and door handle recesses.
• Cordless models such as the Maxshine Mini Cordless and DAS-6 Nano have no cable to catch around mirrors and door shuts.

Good to know

• A 3 inch plate takes a pad a little larger than itself, such as the 3.5 inch pads in Polishing Pads.
• Small pads heat up and clog quickly, so keep spares and clean them often with a product from Pad Cleaning.
• Use the same compound or polish in tight areas as on the rest of the panel so the finish matches.
