About the range
Water Filters & Resin
A deionising (DI) filter takes the minerals out of tap water, so the final rinse dries without the spots hard water leaves. The range is all Aquaspray: an inline filter with colour-changing resin, two and three stage filters, a DI trolley, carry tanks in 10, 15 or 25 litres, and mixed bed resin to refill them.
How to choose
- Inline or vessel: the inline filter sits in the hose line and is the simplest way to a spot-free last rinse on your own car.
- Size is resin capacity: a bigger vessel gives more litres of pure water between refills, so the carry tanks and trolley suit regular or mobile work.
- Hard water uses resin up faster; in a hard water area, go a size up.
- Colour-changing resin shows you when it is spent.
Good to know
- Wash with tap water and save DI water for the final rinse; the resin lasts far longer.
- Keep spare resin sealed in its bag. DI water stops new spots but will not remove old ones; for those, see Water Spot Removers.
What type of water is best for washing a car?
Tap water is fine for the wash itself. For the final rinse, deionised (DI) water is best: the minerals have been taken out, so it dries without leaving spots.
