How to choose

• Wheel Cleaners: the first step for brake dust and road grime. Check whether a product suits your wheel finish (painted, polished, chrome or bare alloy).
• Iron & Fallout Removers: dissolve the embedded iron particles from brake dust that a normal clean leaves behind.
• Wheel Shampoo: a gentle maintenance wash for wheels that are cleaned often or already protected.
• Tyre Cleaners: remove old dressing and browning so a new dressing bonds evenly.
• Wheel Brushes, Tyre Brushes, Wheel Arch Brushes and Wheel Wash Mitts: agitate the cleaner into every part of the wheel.

Good to know

• Clean wheels when they are cool: cleaner on a hot wheel dries too fast and can stain.
• Do the wheels and tyres before the paintwork so splashes are rinsed off during the wash.
• Keep wheel brushes, mitts and buckets separate from the tools you use on paint.

What is the best way to clean tyres and wheels?

Do them first, while they are cool. Spray a wheel cleaner, work it into the faces, barrels and nuts with brushes, scrub the tyres with a tyre cleaner, then rinse before anything dries. Keep the wheel brushes and bucket apart from the ones you use on paint.
