Wheel Shampoo

Wheel shampoo is for the regular wash of wheels that are kept clean and protected: it lifts light brake dust and road grime without the strength of a wheel cleaner, so it is kinder to a sealant or coating. The range is led by Infinity Wax Wheel Shampoo.

How to choose

The real choice is shampoo or cleaner. Sealed or coated wheels washed every week or two only need a shampoo. If brake dust has built up or baked on, start with one of our Wheel Cleaners, then keep on top of it with shampoo.

Good to know

  • Keep a separate bucket, mitt and brushes for the wheels (Wheel Wash Mitts, Wheel Brushes). Brake dust holds sharp metal particles, and carried into the paint bucket they scratch the paintwork.
  • Wash the wheels first, while they are cool, so dirty splashes do not land on a clean body.

Can I use car shampoo on my wheels?

Yes, on wheels that are washed often and carry only light dirt, but use a separate bucket and mitt so brake dust never reaches the paint. A wheel shampoo is made for that job. Heavy or baked-on brake dust needs a wheel cleaner first. Our alloy wheel cleaner guide explains the difference.
