About the range

Interior Detailing Brushes

Interior detailing brushes reach the places a cloth cannot: vent slats, switchgear, stitching and the seams around the dash and console. The range has interior brushes from Maxshine, Soft99 and Viking, Tenzi Precise brushes in 15, 21 and 29mm, a Maxshine horsehair brush and mini duster, plus swabs, foam brushes and extra-long microfibre sticks.

How to choose

  • Softness: gloss black trim and clear instrument covers scratch easily, so use a soft bristle such as horsehair there. Textured plastics, door pockets and pedals can take a firmer brush.
  • Size: the 15mm Tenzi fits vent slats and switch surrounds; the 29mm covers a dash top or door card quicker.
  • Swabs and sticks: these go where bristles cannot, deep into vents, round the gear selector and along the seat rails.

Good to know

  • Spray a cleaner from Interior Cleaners onto the brush rather than the dash, so none runs into switches or screens, then wipe the loosened dirt away with a microfibre.
  • Keep interior brushes for the interior: a brush that has been used on wheels carries grit that will scratch soft trim.

How do you clean car vents without removing them?

Work a small, soft brush between the slats, such as the 15mm Tenzi, and use a swab or microfibre stick for the parts bristles cannot reach. Mist the cleaner onto the brush, never into the vent, and wipe the loosened dust off with a microfibre as you go.
