Stubby Trigger Guns

A stubby trigger gun replaces the long gun and lance on a pressure washer with a short gun, which is far easier to handle round wheels, arches and lower panels. The range covers stubby guns from DTLR, Better Detailing and Maxshine, machine adapters, and the Linntec 6 in 1 nozzle.

How to choose

• Inlet: most domestic machines need an adapter to take a stubby gun. Better Detailing make them for Karcher and Nilfisk, and there is an M22 male adapter for Lavor, Lutian and Black & Decker machines.
• Outlet: a quick release outlet lets nozzles, foam lances and extensions click on and off.
• Length: the shortest guns give the most control, and the DTLR 9.5cm lance version adds reach.
• Pressure rating: the gun must be rated at or above your machine's maximum, and 5300 PSI covers any domestic washer.

Good to know

• A stubby puts the nozzle closer to the paint, so use a wide fan and keep back from badges, rubber seals and panel edges.

Will a stubby gun fit my pressure washer?

Usually, with the right adapter. Most stubby guns have a standard M22 or quick release inlet, while many domestic machines, such as Karcher K series and Nilfisk, use their own hose fittings.
