Ceramic Foams

Ceramic foams add protection as part of the wash, so a waxed, sealed or coated car keeps beading without a separate job. The range covers snow foams that clean and protect in one step, such as Stjarnagloss Glö and CarPro Hydro Foam Wash & Coat, and sealants you foam or spray onto the clean, wet car and rinse off, such as Autobead Lance Sealant and Dunking Biscuit Hydro Boost.

How to choose

• One step or two: a wash-and-protect foam saves time; a rinse-on sealant goes on after the wash, so it lands on clean paint rather than on dirt.
• On bare paint the layer is light and short-lived; over an existing wax, sealant or coating they keep it beading between full applications.

Good to know

• Most go through a pressure washer and Snow Foam Lances; some rinse sealants can also go on from Pressure Sprayers.
• Work out of direct sun and rinse thoroughly before drying: product left to dry on the panels or glass can streak.

How long does a ceramic car wash last?

Not long on its own, because it leaves only a light layer on bare paint. Its real job is topping up an existing wax, sealant or coating so the car keeps beading between full applications.
