CarPro Hydro Foam (HydrO2 Foam) is a pH-neutral wash and coat shampoo. It lifts dirt while you wash and forms an ultra-hydrophobic silica layer when you rinse, giving up to 3 months of protection from one step.
The Drivers HQ
Hydro Foam suits anyone who wants protection without a separate sealant step. The layer forms during the rinse: CarPro calls it hydroelectric bonding, where the pressure of the water speeds up how the glass-like shell bonds to the surface.
Used at each wash, it keeps the car beading between bigger details. For a longer layer on top, CarPro HydrO2 spray sealant is the next step up.
Once bonded, CarPro says the glossy coat resists nearly all acids, alkaline solutions and solvents and offers significant UV protection. Keep it out of the sun: on hot panels it can streak.
Caution: Work in the shade on cool panels. In sun or heat it may streak.
Top Tip: Do not use Hydro Foam in the sun or on hot panels, as it may streak. If it does, apply some to a wet microfibre towel and wipe.
