Yum Foam, Dress v2 and Reset 500ml bottles on a black display plinth

Pre-wash. Yum Foam is a pH 7 high-foaming pre-wash that will not strip wax, sealants or ceramic coatings, is safe on paint, vinyl and glass, and rinses clean without extra passes. Yum Citrus Pre-Wash is the stronger option for traffic dirt, grease and bugs, and also cleans door shuts, engine bays and panel gaps. Use it neat or 1:1 on heavy dirt, 1:5 to 1:10 for general maintenance or 1:20 on a well-kept car, keep it out of strong sun, and do not use it on wrapped cars.

Wash. Yum Wash is a thick, strawberry-scented pH 7 shampoo, safe on paint, glass and vinyl wraps without stripping wax or sealant: 100ml in a half-filled bucket, topped up with the pressure washer, or 100 to 150ml in a foam cannon. Yum Reset is a 3-in-1 acidic shampoo that breaks down water spots, limescale and traffic film. It also removes waxes and sealants near the end of their life and unclogs ceramic coatings, so it suits a reset wash before polishing or fresh protection rather than every wash.

Wheels and tyres. Yum Wheels is a non-acidic, pH-neutral wheel cleaner and iron fallout remover in one thick gel, safe on most painted, polished, powder-coated, clear-coated and chrome wheels, and it changes colour in under a minute. Rinse the wheels first and rinse again after use. Yum Wheel Foam is the foaming wheel cleaner, Undress cleans tyres and rubber, and Dress V2 dresses rubber and trim.

Protection and gloss. Yum Ceramic is a water-based spray sealant with ceramic resins and polymers. Use two towels, one to spread and one to remove the residue, or dilute it 1:1 and mist it over the wet car after the final rinse as a protective drying aid. It also tops up an existing coating, wax or sealant. Yum Foam+ adds a ceramic foam sealant through the lance, and Yum Detailer is the high-gloss quick detailer and drying aid between washes.

Glass and interior. Yum Glass cleans interior and exterior glass, and Yum Interior is the interior cleaner for the cabin.

Shop Yum Cars by type: car shampoo, snow foam, citrus pre-wash, wheel cleaners, paint sealants and quick detailers.

About Yum Cars

YUMCARS (Yum Cars) is a UK car care brand started by Nick and Kelly, who met while serving in the British Army. After years of planning and saving, they took their first unit in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, on 14 March 2018, grew to four units and dealers around the world, and in 2022 moved the main operation to Dinnington in South Yorkshire, where they also run a walk-in store. Their aim is a range that is not held back by a price point: highly concentrated liquids and well-made accessories, explained on the YUMCARS YouTube channel.

At The Drivers HQ we stock Yum Cars online with UK delivery and in our Ilkeston shop. Our customers' favourites are Yum Wash shampoo, Yum Citrus Pre-Wash, Yum Wheels and Yum Ceramic spray sealant.

Yum Wash or Yum Reset?

Both are Yum Cars contact shampoos, but they do opposite jobs.

  • Yum Wash is pH 7. It is the weekly maintenance shampoo: slick and foamy, safe on wraps, and it leaves wax, sealants and coatings in place.
  • Yum Reset is acidic. It removes water spots, limescale and traffic film, strips waxes and sealants that are near the end of their life, and unclogs a ceramic coating so it beads again.

Wash with Yum Wash every week, and reach for Yum Reset when water spots build up, the beading has faded, or you are about to polish the car or apply fresh protection. After a reset wash, Yum Cars recommends applying the most durable product first: Yum Ceramic, then Yum Wax, then Yum Detailer, leaving about 12 hours between Yum Ceramic and Yum Wax if you can. On a perfectly prepared car, Yum Cars rates Yum Ceramic at upwards of six months.
