Bottles, Sprayers & Chemical Handling

Many detailing chemicals come as concentrates or in 5 litre refills, so you need something to dilute, decant and apply them with. IK Sprayers make up the largest share of the range, alongside CarPro and Maxshine bottles, a ValetPro dispenser pump, the DTLR Spray Cannon and a long stem funnel.

How to choose

• Bottles: Empty Detailing Bottles for glass cleaner, quick detailer and interior products, Chemical-Resistant Bottles for wheel cleaners, degreasers and solvents, and Spray Triggers & Replacement Heads when a trigger wears out.
• Larger areas: Pressure Sprayers pump up to give a steady mist of pre-wash or wheel cleaner, and Pump Foamers apply it as foam without a pressure washer.

• IK names say what a sprayer is for: Multi for general cleaners, ALK for alkaline cleaners and degreasers, HC for solvents and petroleum-based products.

Good to know

• Label every bottle with product and dilution, and rinse bottle and trigger before refilling with something else.
• Release the pressure from a pump-up sprayer after use and store it out of direct sun.

How do you dilute car detailing chemicals?

Follow the ratio on the label: 1:10 means one part concentrate to ten parts water. Fill the bottle with the water first, then measure in the concentrate with a measuring cup or the lines on a dilution bottle, so it does not foam up, and label the bottle.
