Fabric Shampoos

Fabric shampoo is for the deep clean, when seats, carpets and mats need more than a spray and wipe, usually with an extraction machine. The range is Equip2clean carpet and upholstery chemicals in trade sizes: detergent powder in 5kg and 10kg, and spotting solution in 5 litres and 20 litres (4 x 5L).

How to choose

• Powder or spotter: the powder is mixed with water at the dilution on the pack for cleaning whole seats and carpets; the spotting solution goes on individual marks before you extract.
• Pack size: the 10kg powder and 20 litre spotter suit valeters cleaning interiors every week; the 5kg and 5 litre packs suit lighter use.
• For one stain on your own car, a ready-to-use product from Spot & Stain Removers or Carpet & Fabric Cleaners is easier.

Good to know

• Do not soak the seats: water that reaches the foam can take days to dry and leave tide marks or a damp smell, so extract thoroughly and air the car while it dries.
• Test a hidden area for colour fastness. Once the fabric is dry, a spray from Fabric Protectants helps the next spill bead up.
