Odour & Smoke Eliminators

Odour eliminators are for smells that return once an air freshener fades: smoke, damp, dogs, food and sports kit. How to choose

• Spray or bomb: a spray treats one spot. A bomb fills the closed car, vents included, for a smell you cannot pin down.
• Smoke: mist Dakota Non-Smoke lightly over the headlining, seats and carpets and leave the car an hour, or use a bomb.
• Milk, sick or wet dog: clean the spot first, because the smell comes back until the cause is gone. An enzyme cleaner breaks it down.
• Musty usually means mould: fix the leak, dry the carpet, then treat what is left with an odour eliminator or a bomb.

Good to know

• Vacuum and clean soiled seats and mats first with one of the Carpet & Fabric Cleaners.
• Set off a bomb with nobody inside, doors shut for the time on the can, then air the car out.

How do I get rid of bad smells in my car?

Find and remove the cause before covering it up: vacuum, clean any soiled fabric, fix leaks and dry wet carpet. Then treat what remains with a spray on one spot or a bomb for the whole car, and treat the air-con if the smell comes from the fan.
