How to choose

• Carnauba or synthetic: carnauba sprays give a deep, warm gloss, while polymer and SiO2 sprays usually bead water harder and last longer. Hybrid sprays blend the two.
• Wax and detailer in one: Shiny Garage Morning Dew QD and Wax removes light dirt and water spots and leaves a hydrophobic layer, according to its listing, so one bottle does both jobs between washes. Good to know

• A spray wax lays down a thin layer. For longer protection, put down a base coat from Car Waxes or Paint Sealants and use the spray to top it up after each wash.
• Keep wax off matte paint and matte wraps: it leaves shiny patches. Use a matte detailer instead.

Is spray wax good for your car?

Yes, as a quick way to add gloss and water beading after a wash. It works best as a top-up over a wax or sealant base coat rather than as the only protection.
