Adams Professional Car Wash Pad - The Drivers HQ

Plush synthetic wool. The pad feels like a wool wash mitt on the outside, but its professional grade synthetic wool fibres soak up shampoo solution and carry it to the car instead of letting it run off over your feet. Adam's current pad measures 10 by 10 inches and holds 26 ounces, about 770ml, of soapy wash water.

A foam core you squeeze. Inside is a 3 inch thick foam core, so a squeeze of the pad releases more suds just where you need them, panel by panel.

Reusable. Rinse it clean after each wash and it is ready for the next one. Adam's backs the pad with its own swirl free guarantee, but a clean pad is what keeps it that way.

Adam's Polishes is an American car care brand started by Adam Pitale in California in 2000. The business later moved to Colorado, and it now sells its washes, polishes, waxes, coatings, microfibre and garage equipment to car owners all over the world.

Washing with a wash pad

Two buckets. Fill one bucket with shampoo solution and one with clean rinse water. Load the pad in the shampoo, wash one panel at a time from the roof down, then rinse the pad in the clean bucket before you reload it.

Light pressure. Let the suds and the fibres do the work. Glide the pad in straight lines rather than circles and keep a separate mitt for wheels and the dirtiest lower panels.

Pre-wash first. On a dirty car, snow foam and rinse before the contact wash so less grit reaches the pad.

After the wash. Rinse the pad thoroughly, squeeze it out and let it dry before you put it away, so grit is not stored in the fibres for next time.
