Full Description

CarPro DQUARTZ GForce is a high-clarity, super-durable hydrophobic glass coating based on CarPro's DQUARTZ nanodiamond technology. Synthetic nano-diamond particles add scratch and abrasion resistance, and the coating bonds directly to the glass so rain beads and clears off.

CarPro US rates it at 12 to 24 months or over 13,000 wiper cycles, with water beading off at speeds as low as 30mph. It has UV and chemical resistance and is extremely easy to apply. Sizes: 10ml kit and 50ml.

On a windscreen the benefit shows in heavy rain: the water beads and runs off as you drive, from as low as 30mph according to CarPro US. The nanodiamond particles add scratch resistance on glass the wipers pass over again and again.

The coating has to bond to bare glass, so the prep matters. Polish the glass clean, wipe it with Eraser, and give it the full 24 hours without wipers.

CarPro US says GForce was built from the ground up to bond directly to glass, and that the coating holds up year-round, through hot, humid or rainy summers and freezing winters.

How To Use

Prepare

  1. Wash and decontaminate the glass, then polish it (CarPro US uses GofX).
  2. Wipe the glass with CarPro Eraser and a clean microfibre towel.

Apply

  1. Shake GForce and put a line of product across the applicator.
  2. Wipe it onto a 2 sq ft section in straight lines, then overlap in a perpendicular pattern, as evenly as possible.
  3. Let it flash, usually 1 to 3 minutes, then wipe off any residue with a clean microfibre towel.
  4. Check from all angles in good light, from inside and outside the car.
  5. For a second layer, start 30 to 45 minutes after you began the first.

Cure

  1. Keep the glass dry for 4 hours.
  2. For best results, do not use the wipers for at least 24 hours. Only drive if it is safe to do so without wipers.

Top Tip: If you find haze straight after applying, re-wet the area with a little more GForce to lift it.

The CarPro range: prepare, protect, maintain

CarPro organises its products around the order you work on a car, which makes it easy to build a kit that suits your car and the time you have.

Prepare. Clean and decontaminate first. Lift is a concentrated pre-wash snow foam, IronX dissolves iron fallout with an acid-free, pH-balanced formula and turns purple-red as it works, and TRIX removes iron and tar in one go. For paint correction, ClearCut takes out scratches as deep as P1000, Fixer cuts and finishes in a single step, and Reflect refines the finish before a coating. Eraser then removes polishing oils so the coating can bond.

Protect. CQ UK 3.0 is CarPro's consumer ceramic coating: 70% SiO2, applied from 3 to 40°C and rated for 18 to 24 months. There are dedicated coatings for film and plastic trim (CQUARTZ Skin), glass (GForce, built on CarPro's DQUARTZ nano-diamond technology) and leather (CQuartz Leather 2.0), plus quicker options such as HydrO2, a spray-on, rinse-off silica sealant rated for up to 6 months.

Maintain. Reset is the pH-neutral shampoo made for coated cars and dilutes 1:500. Hydro Foam washes and leaves a silica layer in one step, ECH2O is a waterless wash and quick detailer, and MFX restores the absorbency of your microfibre towels.

Where to start with CarPro

New to CarPro? Start with the products that make the biggest difference to a normal wash: Reset, Lift and a pair of Dilute bottles, which have printed ratios from 1:1 to 1:30 so every concentrate is mixed correctly. WheelX is the CarPro product our customers buy most often: a ready-to-use wheel cleaner that is safe on coated, chrome and powder-coated wheels.

Ready to protect your paint? Work in this order:

  • Wash with Lift and Reset, then remove iron fallout with IronX.
  • Polish if the paint needs it, from ClearCut for deeper marks to Reflect for a final finish.
  • Wipe each panel with Eraser and apply CQ UK 3.0 one panel at a time.
  • Keep the coating at its best with Reset and a top-up of HydrO2 or Hydro Foam every few months.

For tyres and trim, DarkSide and Perl are the favourites: Perl dilutes up to 5:1, from a rich finish on tyres to a satin look on plastics, and ReTyre cleans tyres and rubber before you dress them.
