Full Description

CarPro ReTyre is a tyre and rubber cleaner made to remove built-up contamination, old tyre dressings and the antioxidants that turn tyres brown. Its high pH foam, worked in with a brush, pulls dirt out of the pores of the rubber for a deep clean and a fresh, new tyre look.

Use it before a dressing or coating such as DarkSide, Perl or CQUARTZ BlackOut: CarPro US says they all respond much better to a perfectly clean tyre. ReTyre can also clean most modern wheels with clear coat, and the foam keeps it where you spray it. Sizes: 500ml, 1L and 4L.

A dressing put on a dirty tyre sits on top of old product and browning. ReTyre strips the tyre back to clean rubber first, and CarPro US says sealants, coatings and dressings respond much better to a perfectly clean tyre.

It is a strong, high pH cleaner, so it also removes Perl and other dressings. On a tyre coated with CQUARTZ BlackOut, wash with Reset and save ReTyre for when the coating is near the end of its life.

How To Use

Clean the tyres

  1. Rinse the tyres with a pressure washer to remove loose dirt.
  2. Spray ReTyre generously onto the rubber, let it foam and leave it for 30 seconds.
  3. Spray some onto a medium-hard brush and scrub the rubber thoroughly.
  4. Rinse the tyre and the brush thoroughly.
  5. Repeat until the suds on the rubber come out white.

Protect

  1. Let the tyre dry fully.
  2. Dress or coat it with DarkSide, Perl or CQUARTZ BlackOut.
  3. Use a dedicated tyre applicator for an even finish.

Top Tip: Keep going until the foam on the tyre is white. Brown suds mean dirt or old dressing is still coming out of the rubber.

What does CarPro ReTyre do?

How do I use ReTyre?

Rinse the tyre, spray ReTyre on and let it foam for 30 seconds, scrub with a medium-hard brush, then rinse. Repeat until the suds are white.

  1. Use it with the foaming nozzle only, so the liquid is not atomised.
  2. If ReTyre drips onto the wheels, rinse that area with water straight away.
  3. Do not let it dry on the wheels or any other surface.
  4. Wash tyres coated with CQUARTZ BlackOut with Reset, not ReTyre.
  5. Test on a hidden area before first use.
  6. Use ReTyre rather than MultiX on tyres, as CarPro US rates it far better for the job.
  7. Store it in a dry, cool place.

The CarPro range: prepare, protect, maintain

CarPro organises its products around the order you work on a car, which makes it easy to build a kit that suits your car and the time you have.

Prepare. Clean and decontaminate first. Lift is a concentrated pre-wash snow foam, IronX dissolves iron fallout with an acid-free, pH-balanced formula and turns purple-red as it works, and TRIX removes iron and tar in one go. For paint correction, ClearCut takes out scratches as deep as P1000, Fixer cuts and finishes in a single step, and Reflect refines the finish before a coating. Eraser then removes polishing oils so the coating can bond.

Protect. CQ UK 3.0 is CarPro's consumer ceramic coating: 70% SiO2, applied from 3 to 40°C and rated for 18 to 24 months. There are dedicated coatings for film and plastic trim (CQUARTZ Skin), glass (GForce, built on CarPro's DQUARTZ nano-diamond technology) and leather (CQuartz Leather 2.0), plus quicker options such as HydrO2, a spray-on, rinse-off silica sealant rated for up to 6 months.

Maintain. Reset is the pH-neutral shampoo made for coated cars and dilutes 1:500. Hydro Foam washes and leaves a silica layer in one step, ECH2O is a waterless wash and quick detailer, and MFX restores the absorbency of your microfibre towels.

Where to start with CarPro

New to CarPro? Start with the products that make the biggest difference to a normal wash: Reset, Lift and a pair of Dilute bottles, which have printed ratios from 1:1 to 1:30 so every concentrate is mixed correctly. WheelX is the CarPro product our customers buy most often: a ready-to-use wheel cleaner that is safe on coated, chrome and powder-coated wheels.

Ready to protect your paint? Work in this order:

  • Wash with Lift and Reset, then remove iron fallout with IronX.
  • Polish if the paint needs it, from ClearCut for deeper marks to Reflect for a final finish.
  • Wipe each panel with Eraser and apply CQ UK 3.0 one panel at a time.
  • Keep the coating at its best with Reset and a top-up of HydrO2 or Hydro Foam every few months.

For tyres and trim, DarkSide and Perl are the favourites: Perl dilutes up to 5:1, from a rich finish on tyres to a satin look on plastics, and ReTyre cleans tyres and rubber before you dress them.
