Full Description

CarPro BugOut is a non-splashing foam that rapidly dissolves insect marks on the front of the car. Bugs leave a concentrated protein enzyme that can permanently damage surfaces if left too long, and some have hard shells that are unsafe to wipe until softened, which is what BugOut does.

It is safe on coated surfaces, glass and PPF. Spray it on, let it start dissolving for 5 to 30 seconds, agitate if needed and remove the residue with CarPro Reset or ECH2O. pH 10 (CarPro US). Sizes: 500ml and 1L.

Bug splatter is more than a stain: CarPro explains that insects leave a concentrated protein enzyme that can permanently mark the surface if left too long. Softening and lifting it quickly is the safe way to deal with it.

Some bugs have hard shells that are unsafe to wipe dry, which is why BugOut softens them first. Let it work for a few seconds, then a soft microfibre does the rest.

CarPro US says it quickly melts much of the dried remains so they slide off, and softens hard-shelled bugs so they can be removed without scratching the paint.

How To Use

Soften

  1. Shake well.
  2. Spray on the insect stains.
  3. Allow 5 to 30 seconds for it to start dissolving. CarPro US allows up to 2 minutes on tougher remains away from sensitive surfaces.

Remove

  1. Agitate with a soft microfibre towel as needed.
  2. Repeat if needed.
  3. Remove and neutralise all residue with CarPro Reset or ECH2O.

Top Tip: Do not leave BugOut on for more than 5 minutes, and avoid using it in direct sun.

The CarPro range: prepare, protect, maintain

CarPro organises its products around the order you work on a car, which makes it easy to build a kit that suits your car and the time you have.

Prepare. Clean and decontaminate first. Lift is a concentrated pre-wash snow foam, IronX dissolves iron fallout with an acid-free, pH-balanced formula and turns purple-red as it works, and TRIX removes iron and tar in one go. For paint correction, ClearCut takes out scratches as deep as P1000, Fixer cuts and finishes in a single step, and Reflect refines the finish before a coating. Eraser then removes polishing oils so the coating can bond.

Protect. CQ UK 3.0 is CarPro's consumer ceramic coating: 70% SiO2, applied from 3 to 40°C and rated for 18 to 24 months. There are dedicated coatings for film and plastic trim (CQUARTZ Skin), glass (GForce, built on CarPro's DQUARTZ nano-diamond technology) and leather (CQuartz Leather 2.0), plus quicker options such as HydrO2, a spray-on, rinse-off silica sealant rated for up to 6 months.

Maintain. Reset is the pH-neutral shampoo made for coated cars and dilutes 1:500. Hydro Foam washes and leaves a silica layer in one step, ECH2O is a waterless wash and quick detailer, and MFX restores the absorbency of your microfibre towels.

Where to start with CarPro

New to CarPro? Start with the products that make the biggest difference to a normal wash: Reset, Lift and a pair of Dilute bottles, which have printed ratios from 1:1 to 1:30 so every concentrate is mixed correctly. WheelX is the CarPro product our customers buy most often: a ready-to-use wheel cleaner that is safe on coated, chrome and powder-coated wheels.

Ready to protect your paint? Work in this order:

  • Wash with Lift and Reset, then remove iron fallout with IronX.
  • Polish if the paint needs it, from ClearCut for deeper marks to Reflect for a final finish.
  • Wipe each panel with Eraser and apply CQ UK 3.0 one panel at a time.
  • Keep the coating at its best with Reset and a top-up of HydrO2 or Hydro Foam every few months.

For tyres and trim, DarkSide and Perl are the favourites: Perl dilutes up to 5:1, from a rich finish on tyres to a satin look on plastics, and ReTyre cleans tyres and rubber before you dress them.
