Full Description

The orange pack is marked Zero, and holds a small orange spray can. The second picture shows it in use, sprayed onto a door mirror through a card mask. It is a coating made for side mirrors. For the windscreen the brand makes Ultra Glaco Roll On, and the Glaco Glass Compound prepares the glass first.

This novel coating leaves the side mirror coated with a layer of microscopic silica crystals, to give it an ultra-hydrophobic surface that simply cannot be wetted. Water literally bounces off!

Applying

  1. Clean and dry the mirror glass thoroughly.
  2. Work in the shade on cool glass.
  3. Apply a thin, even layer as the bottle directs.
  4. Let it haze for the time on the bottle.
  5. Buff the glass clear with a clean microfibre.

Afterwards

  1. Check the mirror for smears.
  2. Keep it dry until it has set.
  3. Top it up when water stops beading.
  4. Store the bottle upright out of direct sunlight.

Top Tip: Buffing the mirror clear from a couple of angles shows any smears before they set.
