The Green Hex-Logic Heavy Polishing Pad cuts like a cutting pad to remove light to moderate swirls, scratches, oxidation, and and finishes like a finishing pad to restore reflection, clarity, and depth. Upon introduction, Hex-Logic Polishing Pads quickly became the go-to buffing pads for detailing professionals and hardcore enthusiasts. Detailers loved the even spread and cutting power of the unique Hex-Logic grooves, and they soon applied it to every step from heavy compounding, to fine polishing, and finishing with the perfect coat of wax. Machine polishing is the only process that permanently removes and repairs paint swirls, scratches, and other defects. Similar to exfoliating skin, the polishing machine spins the polishing pad and compound on the surface to physically remove dead layers of paint.

The new Hex-Logic pads are engineered with the finest and most durable detailing foams, hook and loop interface, and V-cut channels to increase airflow and cooling characteristics. Hex-Logic engineers rounded the profile of the pad for improved flex into curves and contours and smoother polishing performance. How To Use

Using it

  1. Centre the pad on a hook-and-loop backing plate that suits a 5.5in pad.
  2. Apply five small dots of polish to the pad face, as Chemical Guys advises.
  3. Spray a light mist of pad conditioner onto the face.
  4. Polish one test section to see if a single pass gives the finish you want.
  5. Work small sections with slow, overlapping passes and even pressure.
  6. Buff off residue with a clean microfibre towel and check the gloss.

Cleaning and storage

  1. Brush out the pad between sections to remove spent polish.
  2. Wash it in warm water with a dedicated pad cleaner after the job.
  3. Press out water gently, without wringing or twisting the foam.
  4. Dry the pad face down in a clean, airy spot.
  5. Store it dry in a sealed bag, apart from cutting and wax pads.

Top Tip: On soft paint, start with this green pad and a one-step polish before trying any heavier cutting pad.
