Full Description

Blue is the glaze pad in the Chemical Guys HEX-Logic range. The 5.5 inch Quantum version has no cut, so it works a glaze or a very fine polish into the paint for gloss rather than taking anything away.

Chemical Guys matches the blue Quantum pad with Black Light, White Light and GlossWorkz Glaze, run on a dual-action polisher. Use it after correction and before your wax or sealant goes on. Prefer a bigger pad for roofs and bonnets? The 6.5 inch blue Quantum pad does the same job. One pad is included.

How To Use

Using it

  1. Polish the paint first, then wipe the panel clean and dry.
  2. Centre the pad on a dual action polisher backing plate that suits a 5.5in pad.
  3. Apply a few small dots of glaze to the pad face.
  4. Spread the glaze at low speed in slow, overlapping passes with light pressure.
  5. Remove the residue as the glaze maker directs, using a clean microfibre towel.
  6. Follow with a wax or sealant if your glaze needs a protective top coat.

Cleaning and storage

  1. Brush the pad face between panels to clear dried glaze.
  2. Wash the pad in warm water with a dedicated pad cleaner after use.
  3. Rinse until clear and press the water out, never wring the foam.
  4. Leave it to dry face down, away from radiators and direct sunlight.
  5. Store it in a sealed bag, apart from polishing and cutting pads.

Top Tip: Keep the Blue pad for glazes only, so its foam never carries polish or compound residue onto finished paint.

Mr. Pink is a pH-balanced shampoo that Chemical Guys says is safe on existing protection, used in a bucket, foam gun or foam cannon; its dose is 1 to 3oz (about 30 to 90ml) in a 5 gallon (about 19 litre) bucket.
