Yellow is the heaviest cutting pad in the Chemical Guys HEX-Logic Quantum range. Chemical Guys calls it the most aggressive of its pads and keeps it for oxidised and older finishes, where it takes out heavy and severe swirl marks, scratches, oxidation and water spots.

The Chemical Guys HEX-Logic Quantum Buffing Pad in Yellow is the heaviest cutting pad in the Quantum Hex-Logic range, built for panels carrying deep swirls, heavy scratches, oxidation or etched water spots that lighter pads cannot shift. Chemical Guys designed it for use with aggressive compounds such as V32 Extreme Compound or V34 Hybrid Compound, and the hexagonal Hex-Logic surface helps spread that compound evenly while letting the pad conform to curved panels. A Precision Port vent hole on vented versions draws heat away from the centre of the pad during machine work. This 6.5in pad suits dual action and rotary polishers fitted with a matching backing plate, and works as the opening stage of a correction routine, followed by a softer finishing pad and a wax or sealant.
Caution: This is a heavy cutting pad, so use it with the correct compound and technique, and check paint thickness before aggressive correction work.
Top Tip: Keep a dedicated Yellow pad for heavy correction only, then move to softer pads once defects are removed.
