Full Description

This 6.5 inch black Quantum pad is Chemical Guys' no cut finishing pad in the larger size. The wider face covers more of a big flat panel such as a roof, bonnet or boot lid in each pass when you are applying the final layer of protection.

Like every black Quantum pad it removes no paint: its job is to spread a thin, even coat of a product such as JetSeal, M-Seal or Butter Wet Wax, which are the products Chemical Guys names for it. For tighter areas pick the 5.5 inch black pad. One pad is included.

How To Use

Using it

  1. Centre the 6.5in pad on a backing plate suited to its size and press it firmly into place.
  2. Apply a few small dots of wax, sealant or glaze to the pad face.
  3. Place the pad flat on the panel before starting the machine, so product does not sling.
  4. Spread the product over one section at a time with light pressure and a low speed.
  5. Leave a thin, even coat and follow the product label for cure and removal times.
  6. Buff off the residue with a clean, soft microfibre towel.

Cleaning and storage

  1. Brush or blow out the pad face between panels to stop product building up.
  2. Hand wash the pad in warm water with a dedicated pad cleaner after use.
  3. Squeeze the foam gently rather than wringing it, to protect the backing.
  4. Leave the pad to air dry face down, away from direct heat.
  5. Store clean, dry pads in a sealed bag or box away from dust and grit.
