The Rupes BigFoot LHR15 Mark V BAS Kit is the 15mm random orbital polisher boxed with a first set of Rupes pads, compounds and cloths, so one purchase covers cutting, refining and wiping down. Rupes packs eight items in the kit (code LHR15V/BAS): the polisher, a foam pad, a wool pad, two 250ml compounds, two microfibre cloths and a cable clamp.

The BAS Kit pairs the Rupes BigFoot LHR15 Mark V with a first set of consumables: a D-A Intermediate foam pad, a D-A Coarse wool pad, D-A Coarse and D-A Fine compounds in 250ml bottles, two microfibre cloths and a cable clamp. Rupes describes D-A Coarse as a fast cutting, low dusting compound for moderate to severe defects and D-A Fine as the second step or a polish on its own for light defects. The Intermediate foam pad works with both, which makes it the pad to reach for first. Work a clean, dry panel in small sections, spread at low speed and wipe off with the cloths. Disconnect the power before changing pads and keep the kit out of reach of children. Register the polisher with Rupes for the 5 year warranty.
Caution: Disconnect the power before changing pads, keep the cable clear of the pad and keep the pad flat and moving. Test each pad and compound on a small area first. Keep the kit out of reach of children.
Top Tip: On light defects try D-A Fine on the Intermediate foam pad first and keep D-A Coarse for the deeper marks.
Eight items: the polisher, a D-A Intermediate foam pad, a D-A Coarse wool pad, D-A Coarse and D-A Fine compounds in 250ml bottles, a blue and a yellow microfibre cloth and a cable clamp.
The foam pad is the 130/150mm size and the wool pad is 130mm, the sizes Rupes lists for the LHR15.
D-A Coarse removes moderate to severe defects. D-A Fine follows as the second step, or works on its own for light defects.
Rupes places it between its Fine yellow and Coarse blue foam pads and uses it with both D-A Coarse and D-A Fine.
The LUX Kit adds UNO Protect, a Medium wool pad, a D-A Fine foam pad, three microfibre pads, a white cloth, the Claw Pad Tool and the BigFoot silver tools bag.
Both are short nap microfibre cloths for removing compound and polish residues.
Rupes gives a 5 year warranty when the polisher is registered after purchase.
