Full Description

The Active™ 2.3 Electric Pressure Washer Premium Kit is the Active 2.3 machine boxed with Active's own premium accessories, ready to wash and snow foam (Active code AP-SE14UK(02)/H75EU). Active says the accessory set was developed using customer feedback and expert guidance, and the gun, lance, hose and foam cannon all use fully machined 304 stainless steel fittings.

Active built the 2.3 from its work on the Active 2.0 for the professional consumer. An updated brass endplate 5-Piston Pro Pump and a 128 induction motor give 2.3 GPM at 1100 PSI working pressure, 1500 PSI peak, and Active quotes a combined output of 2,500 cleaning units. What is in the Premium Kit

  • Active 2.3 Electric Pressure Washer: the machine, with its brass endplate 5-Piston Pro Pump and 128 induction motor.
  • M22-14mm to 3/8 adaptor: joins the machine's M22-14mm outlet to the 3/8 quick connect system of the kit hose.
  • Active 50 ft steel braided hose, 5/16": about 15 m of real rubber hose with steel braiding. Active chose the 5/16" size as the balance between the light weight of a 1/4" hose and the durability of a 3/8" hose. Fully machined 304 stainless steel quick connects with a 3/8" male plug and a female quick connect. Active rates its 50 ft hose to 4000 PSI and 12 GPM, at up to 212°F (100°C).
  • Active swivel gun: fully machined 304 stainless steel quick connects and an integrated internal swivel connection, a valve with a solid brass body and a stainless metal rod, a low-profile angle, a rubber grip and a low-force trigger. Rated to 5000 PSI and 12 GPM, at up to 300°F (149°C).
  • Active foam cannon: a fully machined 304 stainless steel quick nozzle head with adjustment for foam consistency, angle and pattern, on a leak-free 1000ml bottle with a flexible tube and a stainless steel weight ball. Rated to 4000 PSI and 4 GPM, at up to 140°F (60°C).
  • Active 20° bent lance: fully machined 304 stainless steel with integrated quick connects, a 1/4" male inlet and a 1/4" female outlet, in a nylon casing that makes it easier to manoeuvre around hard to reach areas. 20.5 inches (about 52 cm) long, rated to 5000 PSI and 12 GPM.

Good to know

  • Active supplies a 4.6 size orifice to keep the current draw under 15A, and warns that any other orifice must not take the draw above 15A, or the microswitch and capacitor can be damaged.
  • Active strongly recommends steel braided hoses for proper operation.

How To Use

Setting up

  1. Connect the water supply to the machine and turn the water on fully.
  2. Fit the M22-14mm to 3/8 adaptor to the machine outlet, then click the braided hose onto it.
  3. Connect the swivel gun to the hose, then the bent lance or the foam cannon to the gun.
  4. Squeeze the trigger to purge air from the system before switching the machine on.
  5. Set the foam with the foam cannon's adjusters, keeping the current draw under 15A.

After washing

  1. Switch off, unplug and turn off the water, then squeeze the trigger to release pressure.
  2. Rinse snow foam out of the foam cannon bottle with clean water.
  3. Disconnect the quick connects and let the gun, lance and hose drain.
  4. Lift the machine carefully, as Active lists it at 20kg with its frame.
  5. Store the machine and hose indoors, coiled and protected from frost.

Top Tip: Rinse the foam cannon bottle and nozzle head with clean water after each wash.
