How To Use

Using it

  1. Centre the pad on a matching hook-and-loop backing plate before switching on.
  2. Prime the face with five small dots of compound or polish, as Chemical Guys advises.
  3. Mist the pad face with a pad conditioner before the first pass.
  4. Test a small section first to confirm the level of cut you need.
  5. Work the product into the paint with slow, overlapping passes, one section at a time.
  6. Wipe the residue with a clean microfibre towel and inspect the result under good light.
  7. Refine with a softer polishing pad and a finer polish if the finish needs more gloss.

Cleaning and storage

  1. Brush spent polish out of the pad face between sections.
  2. Wash the pad by hand in warm water with a dedicated pad cleaner after each job.
  3. Squeeze out water gently and never wring or twist the foam.
  4. Dry it face down so water drains away from the hook-and-loop backing.
  5. Store it clean and dry in a sealed bag or box, away from dust.
  6. Keep cutting pads separate from finishing pads to avoid cross contamination.

Top Tip: Start with the least aggressive pad and polish combination on a test section, then step up only if needed.
