Pad Storage

Pad storage keeps polishing pads off the bench and the floor, where they pick up grit that will scratch the paint the next time they touch it. The range is Vertool's wall-mounted pad holders in powder-coated stainless steel, one for 3 inch pads and one for 5 inch, each taking 10 or more.

How to choose

• Size: the 3 inch holder takes the small pads used on pillars, mirrors and tight areas, and the 5 inch holder takes the usual size for main panels. If you polish with both, you need one of each.
• Both fix to a wall, so put them next to where you polish and the pads are within reach mid-job.

Good to know

• Only put pads away clean and fully dry. A damp pad can go mouldy, and compound left in the foam hardens. Clean them first with something from Pad Cleaning.
• Keep cutting and finishing pads apart, so a cutting pad does not end up on the finishing step.

How should I store polishing pads?
