Car stickers come in two main kinds: printed slap stickers, which carry a full-colour design on their own backing, and logo decals in a single colour with no background, so only the lettering or logo shows on the glass or paint. We stock both, from the HQ Lined Box Logo Decal to EuroStance slap stickers, in our car decals and slap stickers ranges.
What is the difference between a sticker and a decal?
A slap sticker is printed artwork on a sticker the shape of the design or a rectangle, peeled and applied in one piece. A logo decal is cut from coloured film, so you choose the colour and there is no background around the letters. Decals look painted on, while slap stickers show more detail and colour.
Which car stickers and decals do we stock?

Where can you put stickers on a car?
Rear and rear side windows and body panels are the usual places. Keep stickers off the part of the windscreen your wipers clear, off the front side windows, and well away from lights and number plates, so nothing blocks your view or what other drivers need to see. If the car is leased or a company car, check the agreement first, as some do not allow stickers. Most of our stickers also suit a toolbox, laptop or detailing kit box.
How do you fit a car sticker?
Fit it on a clean, dry, warm surface, line it up before you peel the backing, and smooth it down from the middle out.
- Clean the spot: wash it, then wipe with a panel wipe so no wax or grease is left under the sticker.
- Work warm and dry: fit stickers on a mild, dry day or in a garage, never on cold or damp glass.
- Line it up first: hold it in place with a strip of masking tape along the top edge as a hinge.
- Apply from the middle out: peel the backing, then smooth it down from the centre to the edges with a card to push out air.
- Peel decals slowly: on a logo decal, pull the clear top film back on itself at a low angle, pressing down any letter that lifts.
- Leave it to settle: wait a couple of days before washing the car or pressure washing near the edges.
How long do car stickers last?
It depends on where a sticker goes and how it is treated. Strong sun, a pressure washer lance held close to the edges and harsh solvents are what shorten its life, so keep the lance well back and keep solvent cleaners off the sticker itself.

Can you put a sticker on a waxed or ceramic coated car?
Stickers need a bare, clean surface to grip. Wax and sealant are made to stop things sticking, so clean the spot with a panel wipe first. A ceramic coating does not come off with a wipe, so on a coated car the glass is the better place for a sticker.

How do you wash a car with stickers on it?
Wash as normal with a pH neutral shampoo and a soft mitt, wiping along the edges of a sticker rather than into them. When you dry, pat the sticker with the towel instead of dragging across it.
How do you remove an old sticker?
Warm it, lift a corner and peel it slowly, then clear the glue with a dedicated remover. Our guide on how to remove stickers from a car goes through it step by step.
Common questions
Will a sticker damage my paint?
On sound factory paint, a quality sticker comes off cleanly with a little warmth. On resprayed, chipped or flaking paint it can lift the paint with it, so think twice about those areas.
Are slap stickers waterproof?
Our EuroStance slap stickers are made to be waterproof, UV protected and scratch resistant, so they stand up to rain and washing once they have settled.
What colour decal shows up best?
Light colours such as white or silver stand out on dark or tinted glass, and darker colours show best on a light coloured car.

Can I put car stickers on a laptop or toolbox?
Yes. Many of ours list laptops and toolboxes as well as car windows and panels.
