Gorilla Power GP6 and GP8 pressure washers

GP6. The GP6 Domestic Electric Pressure Washer is the home and light trade machine: a 2000W carbon brush motor, up to 160 bar and 7 litres a minute, and an 8m hose, with an Auto Stop system that pauses the pump when you let go of the trigger. It suits cars, patios, driveways and garden equipment.

GP8. The GP8 Semi-Professional Electric Pressure Washer steps up to a 3100W induction motor. It is rated at 130 bar and 10 litres a minute, with a maximum of 190 bar and 11 litres a minute, and comes with an 8m high pressure hose, a 5m power cord, a brass turbo nozzle and a foam bottle. It weighs 23.1kg. The extra flow helps with rinsing and with snow foam.

Which one? The GP6 covers most home washing. The GP8's induction motor and higher flow suit people who wash often, foam a lot or clean bigger driveways and patios. Keep the turbo nozzle for hard surfaces and well away from paint.

Gorilla Power is a range of electric pressure washers and portable generators that sits alongside Kiam Power Products, and its instruction manual names the washer range KIAM Gorilla Power. The washers run from domestic to semi-professional machines, and the generators from a 2000W suitcase inverter for camping and caravans up to 8000W open frame and dual-fuel units for home backup, workshops and building sites.

Gorilla Power generators

Suitcase inverters. True sine wave inverters for clean power to laptops, televisions and battery chargers. The GP2000i gives 2000W maximum and 1800W running and weighs 21kg. The GP3500i gives 3500W maximum and 3000W running, with a 6 litre fuel tank and up to 14 hours runtime. The GP3800iE gives 3800W maximum and 3500W running, with electric, recoil and wireless remote start.

Open frame inverters. The GP5000iE gives 5000W maximum and 4500W running from a 12 litre tank with Economy Mode, and the GP8000iE gives 8000W maximum and 7500W running for home backup, workshops and sites.

Dual fuel. The GP5500E-DF, 5500W maximum and 5000W running, and the GP6500E-DF, 6500W maximum and 6000W running, run on petrol or propane, so you can switch fuel to suit what you have.

Using a generator safely. Run it outdoors with plenty of air so exhaust never reaches enclosed spaces, and let the engine cool before refuelling.
