What Mike's Ultimate Detailer does

What Mike's Ultimate Detailer does

A waterless wash. No buckets, hoses, extra water or soap. The formula encapsulates dirt when you spray it on and lifts it off the surface, giving a cushioning effect so that when you wipe it away, nothing is dragged across the paint.

One bottle, many surfaces. It cleans paint, glass, chrome, rubber, carbon fibre, wheels and almost anything non porous, inside and out, and stands in for spray wax, detail spray, glass cleaner, rubber treatment, interior cleaner and bug and tar remover.

The finish. It leaves a high gloss, water beading coating where applied. ZK says one bottle cleans between 4 and 12 vehicles, depending on how dirty they are.

About Mike's Ultimate Detailer

Mike's Ultimate Detailer comes from ZK Performance, run by Jeany Zhao and Mike Kojima, a motorsport engineer with a career of more than 30 years who has held NASA, SCCA and IMSA racing licences. ZK says it comes from the racing world and first made this detailer to keep Formula Drift and other race cars clean, cars covered in dirt and melted rubber. Its aim is products that save time by taking the drudgery out of keeping things clean.

At The Drivers HQ we stock Mike's Ultimate Detailer 16oz, 473ml, online with UK delivery and in our Ilkeston shop, alongside our other quick detailers.

Using a waterless detailer

Using a waterless detailer

Light dirt only. A waterless wash suits dust, fingerprints, show day touch ups and light road film. If the car is caked in mud or grit, rinse it first.

Spray and wipe. Work one small section at a time. Spray generously so the surface is wet, let it soak for a moment, then wipe gently in one direction with a folded plush microfibre, turning to a clean face often.

Buff. Follow with a second dry microfibre to bring up the gloss.

Inside the car. Mist it onto the cloth rather than the dashboard, so no overspray lands on screens or glass.
