Full Description

Autobead Alloy Coating 5 Year is a professional grade, 5 year ceramic coating for rims and callipers. Its strong hydrophobic character protects the wheels from external contaminants and helps the cleaning process. Autobead lists it for use by accredited detailers only.

It is a polymeric ceramic precursor: a hard layer forms as the solvent evaporates and the compound reacts with moisture in the air, bonding to the surface as it cures. Autobead lists it as micro scratch resistant, ultra non-stick and super hydrophobic, with UV protection. The kit holds the 30ml coating, 3 microfibre suede cloths and 1 applicator block.

How To Use

Apply the coating

  1. With minimal pressure, apply even strokes using the block and suede provided, or a microfibre applicator.
  2. Use only a little product, as high spots can be difficult to remove.
  3. Allow 30 seconds to dry before buffing the surface.
  4. Buff with a buffing towel to a high gloss finish.

Aftercare

  1. Keep the wheels dry for 2 hours before exposing them to water.
  2. Do not chemical wash for 30 days after application.

Top Tip: Less is more. Autobead warns that high spots can be difficult to remove, so apply thin, even strokes with minimal pressure.
