Crossed Dagger Apparel

Crossed Dagger Apparel, often shortened to CDA, is a clothing brand that began as a little side project between its owners, Sam Keeley and Courtney Haymes, during the first week of the COVID-19 lockdown. Sam is a tattoo artist and Courtney is a hairdresser, and the brand says all of its artwork is created by Sam with Courtney's input. Its own online shop sold T-shirts, long sleeves, hoodies and sweats, bottoms, headwear, bags and accessories, with a dedicated automotive accessories section alongside the clothing.

The Drivers HQ stocks a wide CDA range across T-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts, shorts and trousers, headwear, pins, patches and badges, keyrings, car decals and a hanging air freshener. Look out for the Anti Bad Vibes Club Tee in black and white, the matching Anti Bad Vibes Club Hoodie and Crop, the CDA Black Box Tee and the Daruma Doll Long Sleeve Top in gold, grey and sky blue. The Coach Jacket Black, Black Joggers, CRSSDDGGR Waist Belts, CRSSDDGGR Flight Tag and Chews Life Air Freshener round out the collection.

CDA suits anyone building a car culture wardrobe with more personality than a plain logo tee. The designs are drawn by a tattoo artist, with the artwork and lettering front and centre, and pieces like the Anti Bad Vibes Club range work as easily at a car meet as they do day to day. Car decals, a flight tag, a keyring or the Chews Life Air Freshener carry the same look into the car itself, making it easy to match your ride to your outfit.

Buy Crossed Dagger Apparel from The Drivers HQ with tracked UK-wide delivery, or visit our walk-in store in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, where Click & Collect is free. Whether you are after a new tee, a hoodie for cooler evenings or a decal for the back window, you can combine CDA pieces with car care products and other car culture clothing and accessories in a single order.

Born From a Lockdown Side Project

Born From a Lockdown Side Project

Crossed Dagger Apparel started as a little side project for owners Sam Keeley and Courtney Haymes during the first week of the COVID-19 lockdown, set up to keep themselves busy and motivated. By their own account, they never planned for it to take off the way it did in such a short space of time, and they describe it as something they are both proud of achieving.

Both owners work in creative careers, Sam as a tattoo artist and Courtney as a hairdresser, and they say they love art and using those skills to reach a goal. The brand says all of its artwork is created by Sam with Courtney's thoughts and input, and it states that all artwork is designed and copyrighted by Sam Keeley Tattoo.

The name comes from Sam's own life. His mother's side of the family are named Cross, and he always signs his artwork with a dagger, which he also has tattooed on himself. Put together, the two became Crossed Dagger Apparel, and the brand says it carries the family name as a way of remembering his mum.

Original Artwork From Tees to Decals

On its own website, CDA grouped its designs into collections such as Nightdrives and Smile Now, Die Later, with Anti Bad Vibes Club among the designs featured on its home page. Alongside the clothing it sold accessories, and it gave automotive accessories a section of their own, a clear nod to the car scene alongside artwork drawn by a tattoo artist.

The Drivers HQ range reflects that mix. The Anti Bad Vibes Club design comes as a tee in black or white, a black hoodie and a crop, while the Daruma Doll Long Sleeve Top is offered in gold, grey and sky blue. The CDA Black Box Tee and the Coach Jacket Black add everyday black pieces, and the Black Joggers complete the outfit.

For finishing touches there are CRSSDDGGR Waist Belts, the CRSSDDGGR Flight Tag, keyrings, pins, patches and badges, car decals, the Chews Life Air Freshener and the CRSSD DGGR Brush Face Mask in black or pink. With CDA branding and artwork running through the range, it is easy to put together a matching look across your wardrobe and your car.
