Sipfull of Design

Sipfull of Design is a small, family-run studio in Sussex that hand-presses personalised mugs, travel mugs and drinkware. It started in early 2024 on Etsy, launched its own website in August 2025, and presses each mug when it is ordered rather than holding mass stock. Its designs range from pets, seasonal favourites and funny sayings to a motoring collection built around classic cars, racing legends and garage life, and it is that motoring side of the studio that The Drivers HQ carries.

The Drivers HQ stocks Sipfull of Design motoring mugs both as classic ceramic mugs and as insulated travel mugs, printed with vintage motoring artwork. Examples include the All Oils Vintage Mug, a full-wrap collage of classic motor oil brands and garage signs, the Built for Speed Mug and matching travel mug for bikers, and the Dad's Garage mugs and travel mugs for the family mechanic. Many of the other designs recreate vintage motor oil and petrol can artwork with a distressed, well-worn finish.

These mugs suit anyone whose day starts in the garage or behind the wheel: classic car owners, bikers, weekend mechanics and collectors of automobilia. They make an easy gift for a petrolhead dad, a friend restoring an old car or anyone who loves vintage motoring graphics, and a travel mug is a practical companion for early starts at car meets and shows. On a workshop bench, a mug that looks like a well-used oil can fits right in with the tools around it.

Order Sipfull of Design mugs from The Drivers HQ with UK-wide delivery. These mugs are sent out directly by Sipfull of Design, and you can order them alongside your detailing products and other car culture gifts from our range. That makes it simple to put together a present for the motoring fan in your life, whether you choose a single mug, a travel mug for the commute or a set of favourite designs.

Hand-Pressed in a Sussex Studio

Hand-Pressed in a Sussex Studio

Sipfull of Design describes itself as a small, family-run studio in Sussex, hand-pressing drinkware designed to make people smile. What began in early 2024 as a creative side project on Etsy quickly grew into something bigger, and the studio launched its own website in August 2025.

The studio keeps the work that matters in its own hands. It says it has turned down every shortcut offered as it has grown, including print-on-demand, outsourced packing and a chatbot in place of real replies, preferring to use technology quietly behind the scenes so the family has time to talk customers through designs, press each mug themselves and pack it by hand in smash-proof packaging.

Hand-pressing also lets the studio take its designs further than a standard print. Where most mugs stop the print short of the handle, many of its designs wrap all the way around the mug, and each one is pressed when it is ordered rather than taken from mass stock.

Vintage Motoring Mugs and Travel Cups

Vintage Motoring Mugs and Travel Cups

The motoring collection is where Sipfull of Design meets car culture. Its product descriptions draw on the golden age of motoring, when the forecourt was the centre of the motoring world, with bold colours, confident typography and mid-century garage artwork. The All Oils Vintage Mug, for example, brings classic motor oil brands, garage signs and retro service station artwork together on a single full-wrap design.

At The Drivers HQ much of the Sipfull of Design range carries vintage motor oil artwork, with single-brand motor oil designs sitting alongside the All Oils collage. There are also biker designs such as Built for Speed, and Dad's Garage and Dad Mechanic Garage designs for the home mechanic. Several designs come both as a ceramic mug and as an insulated travel mug, including Built for Speed and Dad's Garage.

Sipfull of Design says its ceramic and bone china mugs are dishwasher and microwave safe. Its travel mugs are insulated and should be washed by hand to preserve their finish, and because of the materials and printing process they are not suitable for the microwave.
