How To Use

Setting up

  1. Check your pressure washer gives at least 175 bar.
  2. Connect your hose to the M22 male inlet.
  3. If your hose has a 3/8 inch female quick release, add an M22 female to 3/8 inch male coupling.
  4. Set the head angle to 0° or 45° to suit the surface.
  5. Put on the shoulder harness.
  6. Extend the lance section by section and tighten each clamp.

Cleaning

  1. Check above you for power lines and obstacles.
  2. Squeeze the trigger and let the rotating head do the work.
  3. Work across the surface in steady, overlapping passes.
  4. Lock the trigger when you pause.
  5. Rinse the brush head after use.

Top Tip: Below 175 bar the head will not spin properly, so pair the brush with a washer that has enough pressure.

Aquaspray

Aquaspray is a range of de-ionising water filters and resin for a spot-free final rinse, designed for car detailers and professional window cleaners. Tap water carries dissolved minerals that dry as spots on paintwork, glass and chrome, especially in direct sunlight. Aquaspray filters take those minerals out, so a rinsed car dries without mineral spots and needs less towel drying. The range runs from a compact inline filter to carry tanks and two and three-stage filter trolleys, with replacement resin to refill them.

Aquaspray inline filters and carry tanks

Inline filter. The Spotless Inline Water Filter is 30cm long with a male Hozelock inlet and a female Hozelock outlet, so it fits between the tap and the hose, or the hose and a water-fed pole, without tools. Its mixed-bed resin is exclusive to the Aquaspray range and changes colour from blue to yellow as it is used up. The cartridge is clear, so you can see when to change the resin without a TDS meter.

Carry tanks. The De-Ionising Carry Tank comes in 10, 15 and 25 litre sizes, filled with resin, with a swivelling metal carry handle and brass Hozelock-type male and female couplings. The 25 litre tank adds a Multi-Flow Control dial that switches between bypass, backwash, fast rinse and filter modes.

Hard water. In very hard water areas the resin is used up faster and needs changing more often. Aquaspray's hardness table runs from soft, up to 100mg/L of calcium carbonate, to very hard, over 300mg/L.

Using it. Make the filtered water the last rinse after the wash, then let the car dry or pat it dry with a towel.

Aquaspray® Inline DI Resin filter - The Drivers HQ

Aquaspray filter trolleys and resin

Two-stage trolley. The Two-Stage DI Trolley has two de-ionising resin stages on a frame with heavy-duty rubber wheels, and produces up to 2,000 litres of de-ionised water per resin change, depending on water hardness. It weighs 21.5kg and connects to most pressure washers and hose systems.

Three-stage filter. The Three-Stage De-Ionising Water Filter adds a carbon filter as the first stage, which removes chlorine and organic compounds to protect the resin. Two resin stages then purify the water, which Aquaspray says reaches 0 PPM, and a built-in digital TDS meter shows the purity of the water coming out. It gives up to 3,000 litres per filter change, depending on water hardness, and weighs 24kg.

Refill resin. The Mixed Bed Resin comes in 10 and 20 litre quantities of ready to use amber beads, for refilling DI cartridges. Aquaspray rates it for conductivity below 0.1 μS/cm and a maximum operating temperature of 60°C.

Pure water for the whole wash. De-ionised water is mainly for the final rinse, but Aquaspray notes that using it for the whole wash can also improve foaming.
