The Brand

Car Cards

Car Cards is a brand of automotive-themed greeting cards for people who love cars. Its own website has described Car Cards as a one-stop shop for automotive-themed goodness, with greeting cards for Valentine's Day, birthdays and Father's Day, as well as petrolhead clothing, performance index stickers and car silhouette keychains. The cards turn car culture jokes into illustrated designs, and the brand lists them as A5 size on high-quality 330 GSM Fedrigoni card.

The Drivers HQ stocks 13 Car Cards greeting card designs. For birthdays there are Supra Day, Supercar Birthday and Supercar Birthday V2, GR8 Birthday Grey and You're a Classic V2. For Valentine's Day and other romantic occasions there are Heart Spool, Heart Flutter V2, I Heart You, Hot V2, Never Split, Blow Me Away V2 and Bwaahstututu V2, and You're GR8 Red works for any occasion. Most designs build their message around a car or a car part.

Car Cards suits anyone buying for a petrolhead who would rather receive an in-joke than a generic card. The designs borrow the language of car culture, from spooling turbos and blow-off valves to split wheels and head gaskets, so they work well for someone who knows what a stututu sounds like. Several are blank on the inside, leaving room for your own message, and a card is a simple finishing touch for a gift of car care products or accessories.

Buy Car Cards from The Drivers HQ with UK-wide delivery, or pick one up at our walk-in store in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, where Click & Collect is free. Add a card to an order of detailing products, air fresheners or car culture accessories and you can sort the present and the card in a single order, ready for a birthday, Valentine's Day or any occasion that calls for a car-themed message.

CAR CARDS SUPRA DAY GREETING CARD - The Drivers HQ

Car Culture on a Card

Car Cards built its range around the jokes and sounds that car enthusiasts share. Its product pages pair its messages with car and car part designs: the Bwaahstututu card sets its punchline against an iconic MK4 Supra design, and Blow Me Away uses a blow-off valve design for the person who really blows you away. The brand even added a note that its cards do not produce any sounds.

On its own website, Car Cards grouped its cards into birthday, love, Father's Day and Christmas collections, and sold them alongside performance index stickers, vehicle warning stickers and silhouette keychains of cars such as the Toyota Supra and Volkswagen Golf. It described the site as a one-stop shop that it aimed to keep adding to every week.

The cards themselves are listed with the same specification across the range: A5 size, high-quality 330 GSM Fedrigoni card with a Symbol gloss finish and gloss UV varnish, described as FSC certified and recyclable.

CAR CARDS BWAAHSTUTUTU V2 GREETING CARD - The Drivers HQ

Turbo Hearts and Supra Birthdays

Turbo humour runs through the love cards. Heart Spool carries the message You Make My Heart Spool with a turbo heart design, for somebody who makes your heart constantly spool with no turbo lag. I Heart You uses a turbo heart design too, Heart Flutter V2 is for somebody who makes your heart go stututu, and Bwaahstututu V2 finishes a roses are red verse with BWAAHSTUTUTU over an MK4 Supra design.

The birthday cards take a similar approach. Supra Day wishes someone a Supra birthday with an MKIV Supra design, the Supercar Birthday cards tell someone who wanted a supercar for their birthday that you got them a card with one on instead, and You're a Classic V2 uses a Jaguar E-Type design to remind someone that they are not old but an appreciating classic. GR8 Birthday Grey and You're GR8 Red are built around an Audi R8 Gen 1 design.

Other love cards borrow from the garage too. Never Split pairs a mesh wheel design with the hope that you never split, Hot V2 is for somebody who makes you overheat a little, and Blow Me Away V2 uses a blow-off valve design. Each card is listed at The Drivers HQ with its message and design, so you can choose the joke that suits the car fan you are buying for.
