KDN Detailing

KDN Detailing is a car care brand that was established by SGCB UK, the UK distributor and reseller of official SGCB Autocare products. According to SGCB UK, KDN Detailing was set up to sell safe wash products for the driveway detailer, starting with a shampoo, a pre wash and a snow foam that were all made and hand bottled in the United Kingdom. The KDN name later expanded into detailing tools, and its own store listed KDN brushes, cloths and drying towels, a polisher, wash mitts, and nozzles and pressure washer accessories.

Made for the Driveway Detailer

KDN Detailing grew out of SGCB UK, a detailing supply business that says it was set up during the back end of spring 2020 as the UK distributor and reseller of official SGCB Autocare products. Its director describes himself as a keen driveway detailer rather than a professional, who went looking for quality detailing products at good prices.

SGCB UK then established KDN Detailing, initially to sell safe wash products that it described as ideal for the driveway detailer. The first KDN products were a shampoo, a pre wash and a snow foam, all made and hand bottled in the United Kingdom, and SGCB UK described itself as the exclusive seller of KDN Detailing products.

Over time the KDN name expanded from wash products into tools and accessories. The KDN Detailing online store later listed its own brushes, cloths and drying towels, a polisher, wash mitts, and nozzles and pressure washer accessories, sold alongside other detailing brands. The tools stocked at The Drivers HQ come from that accessories side of the range.

Pressure Washer Tools and Wash Kit

KDN Detailing described the Shorty v2 as a replacement pressure washer gun with an interchangeable nozzle kit, made for hard to reach areas such as under the wheel arches and along the side skirts. The gun is rated up to 280 bar (4000 PSI), has a trigger lock for when it is not in use and uses a brass quick release connector, so nozzles can be swapped quickly. KDN also warned that the red pencil nozzle can damage paintwork, so it should be kept away from painted panels.

The Quick Release Short Trigger Extension is a 30 degree angled extension rod, 14 inches long, made of stainless steel with brass connectors. KDN described it as a way to reach the undercarriage and wheel wells without crawling under the car, with a 1/4 inch female socket for the nozzle and a 1/4 inch male plug for the gun. The 90 Degree Angle Adapter is a brass 1/4 inch quick release attachment made to fit most short trigger guns.

For the contact wash, KDN described its 15cm x 15cm chenille wash pad as extra gentle on paint, chrome and vehicle wraps and ideal for alloy wheels and grille areas. The Swab Kit holds 30 cleaning swabs in three head sizes, ten of each, for vents, badges and tight seams, and the three piece drill brush set uses nylon bristles on quarter inch quick change shafts, sold by KDN as a carpet brush set.
