The Brand

LowKulture

Low Kulture is a modified car brand from Wrexham in North Wales, started in 2016 by Tim Shotton and Jordan. The LWKLTR wordmark on its stickers, caps and lanyards is the brand name written without its vowels. Low Kulture set out to build up the modified car show scene in North Wales: its first blog post, Wrexham Roots, lays out a plan to host meets and then a show of its own, helped along by the people who buy its merch.

Low Kulture, from Wrexham to the show field

How it started. The idea came from a late night conversation between Tim Shotton and Jordan about how hard it is to get good parking at shows, and why they should not have a stand of their own. It quickly grew into a plan to lift the modified car show scene in North Wales, where the group found itself travelling for hours to reach the shows it wanted to attend.

The aim. Host as many meets as possible, then a Low Kulture show that brings modified car owners together, and prove that the south of the UK does not have the only good car scene. Wrexham Roots, posted on 3 October 2016, asked people to help by following the brand on Instagram, saying hello at shows and buying its merch.

The look. Everything we stock carries the name: LWKLTR in slanted block capitals on the stickers, the lanyards and one of the caps, and Lwkltr in a flowing script on the Swirly cap.

LWKLTR stickers, lanyards and flat peaks

LWKLTR stickers. The Medium sticker is about 20 x 5.5cm and the Large sticker about 31 x 9cm. Both come in Glitter Blue, Glitter Red, Gold, Matte Black, Neo Chrome, Purple and White. Apply one to a clean, dry, smooth surface in dry weather, smoothing it from the middle outwards, and keep pressure washer jets and polisher pads off its edges. More designs in car decals.

Short lanyard key clips. Both use high density 100% polyester webbing with a durable clasp fastening and a black metal clip, and neither has a neck loop. The Black & White key clip is printed white on one side and black on the reverse; the Holographic key clip has a double sided holographic print that shifts from green to gold in the light. Flat peak caps. Both are snapbacks with a black crown, a grey flat peak and a size adjustable strap. The LWKLTR Flat Peak has the name in slanted white block capitals; the Swirly Flat Peak writes it as Lwkltr in white script. Spot clean them with a damp cloth so the peak keeps its shape.
