Expert Notes

VeilSide in a classic serif typeface, white on a black strip, with the capital V and S standing taller than the rest. Black and matt black are offered. The listing gives the lengths as 140cm, 150cm and 160cm, and the maker cuts the strip with a subtle curve to follow the top of the screen. It is cut from premium-grade vinyl as a universal fit, so it suits most cars once trimmed to size.

Perfect For / Suitable Surfaces

  • Top of the windscreen
  • Show cars
  • Daily drivers
  • Project builds
  • Vans and hatchbacks
  • Gifts for car enthusiasts

Caution: Apply only to clean, dry, smooth surfaces in dry weather. Keep pressure washer jets and polishers away from the edges, as they can lift the vinyl.

Visual Impact Graphics sunstrips by make and motorsport

How they fit. The universal sunstrips suit most cars, vans and 4x4s, are 25cm high in the widths each listing shows from 140cm, and come with fitting instructions. Because they are universal, measure across the top of your windscreen first and expect to trim the strip to your glass. The one model-specific strip is the Toyota Celica, 130 x 25cm for the ST185, ST202 and ST205.

Car makers. Abarth, Audi, Mitsubishi, Subaru and Toyota, with three MR2 designs: the MR2, MR2 v2 and MR2 v3.

Performance and motorsport. AMG silver, MPower, Mperformance, Ford Performance, Ford RS, Honda Racing, VTECH Turbo, Ralliart, TRD and WRC.

Bilstein Custom Vinyl Sunstrip - Universal Fit 140cm 150cm 160cm

Visual Impact Graphics parts, tuning and car culture strips

Parts, oil and tyres. Bilstein, Castrol, Sparco and Toyo Tires.

Tuning and car culture. Veilside, Hoonigan, Antisocial and Low Standards.

Fitting a sunstrip. Work on clean, dry glass on a mild day, out of direct sun. Hold the strip up to the top of the windscreen to check the curve and width, mark where it needs trimming, then follow the instructions supplied. A sunstrip helps cut glare from a low sun across the top of the screen, and it suits show cars and daily drivers alike.

A sunstrip in a favourite make or tuning brand makes an easy gift for a car enthusiast. Shop more sunstrips and see the Hoonigan and Sparco brand pages.
